If you want to be
powerful, you must own a real estate. If you want security, you need God and
you need to own a nice piece of property (not buildings or architectural
designs but lands). If you want to own a piece of land in Nigeria or any
country, you need to own at least a plot (10ft by 20ft ) of land. This is the
best thing that can ever
happen to you.
Land is willable. Land has
been in existence before we were all born, it will still be in existence when we
are all gone. Our offspring could be
made richer and happier, knowing that their predecessors left them a c choice
property.
Land value appreciates always; if we allow foreigners
to come into Nigeria and buy our lands, we are selling our right. We are
selling our right. We are selling our freedom.
Foreigners are meant to
lease land from you and not buy them out rightly. Why do you think nations
fight or fought independence? It’s because foreigners came into their country
and possessed their land and land ownership has made the foreigners powerful.
Therefore take back what belongs to you! own a property today!
According to Frank
Roosevelt, real estate can’t be lost or stolen, nor carried away. Managed with
reasonable care, it is about the safest investment in the world. Maybe you can
learn something from these stories:

A certain family
certain family came to Ajah Neigbourhood in Lagos State over 12 years ago when
Land in Thomas Estate (along the road) was sy=till less than N80,000 per plot
only. Their business was booming, they had 3 cars in the family; they could
afford to buy several plots but they didn’t. The agents were begging them to
buy but that area was lonely at that time. They used to drive VI to their house
in the Oluwatedo neigbourhood in less than 10 minutes at times, passing only a
single car on the road. Today the same plot of land in the Thomas estate is
worth N25 million. When they eventually
bought a place in 201 in the Oluwatedo area, they paid over N10 Million with
“Abeg Sir.” Thank God they could still pay. Just imagine how much they would be
worth today if they had bought six plots for 480,000 by disposing of their cars.
Here is a story of
another couple who had money enough money years back to buy several plots of
land in the Lekki neigbourhood in Lagos State. Every time they were presented
with opportunity to buy they had one story or the other of several other things
they needed money for in their business. When their business had issues, they
had nothing to fall back on. They were practically homeless for two years and burdened
with so much debt from their failed business.

During these two years,
they lived in 13 different places with loads of insults and hardship. If they
had made an investment in a few plots of lands when they had the means, they
would have sold one or two plots and used the money to put up one room to live
in instead of being at the mercy of all and sundry. They learned very valuable
lesson from that time and as soon as the Lord lifted up their captivity after 2
years, they started buying lands even while paying their debts. That couple was
Mr and Mrs Austin Onwumere, Chairman of PWAN Homes.

“In 2010 we witnessed
the sale of 2 plot of land bought by one lady in 2001 in the Makande
neigbourhood after Oluwatedo for N50,000
that is N25,000 per plot. These 2 plots were sold for over N4Million and
it was far inside Bashorun Estate. We begged to be allowed to photocopy the old
receipt and it’s still with us.” He said.

These are two real
estate stories that never stop to amaze me.
There was a friend who
was informed by another friend, a real estate agent to purchase some plots of
land in the Ajah area. He told his friend he was not interested but offered to
loan him N300, 000 to purchase 1 acre (6 plots) which his agent friend gladly
received with joy. Today those 6 plots are worth over N150 Million.
In 1971, a man had the
opportunity to buy two plot of land in now-Lekki Phase 1 area for N5,000 per
plot but he was only able to buy 1 because he had bought Peugeot 504 for about
N5,000. Today, Peugeot 504 is no more but land in that area is worth over N500,
Million a plot. Fortunately for the man, the owner of the land was his father
who encouraged him by loaning him money to buy the other one making it two
plots. Today, he lives in one and rents the other plot for over N5 Million per
annum. I am sure you have learnt something from these stories. Don’t forget to
leave you a comment.
